Michel is speculating on his blog that, since Apple is holding another special event next week on October 12th, the video iPod is finally going to be announced ! That might explain why the keynote was cancelled at the last Paris Expo, since the product might not have been ready. hum… The invitation has a red velvet curtains visual, definitively hinting towards the movie market. Michel also thinks that Apple might announce an iTunes video store. Well, it kinda already works, unless Apple has been secretly working a video-on-demand service for the movie industry…

Update: AppleInsider is also talking about new G5 and beefed up G4 laptops also: "Likewise, sources say Apple remains in a position where they could suddenly introduce new professional Macs such as dual-core Power Mac G5s and jazzed-up PowerBooks G4s. Inventory levels of all Macs are are significantly lower than usual with the company's September fiscal quarter ending earlier in the week." and also has a long post on the video iPod.
