Chatango is a little piece of code that you insert onto your blog, and enables any of your visitors to chat with you real time. It requires you to install a small resident program on your computer as well.
I have just uninstalled Chantango for a number of reasons:
- my blog has started to look like a Christmas tree with almost useless blinking stuff;
- almost no one uses it (sometimes someone tries it out)
- I hate the 'anon1' user: you don't know who's talking to you
- I'm starting to get weird messages
- I really like having only one IM client that handles all protocols
Don't get me wrong: the technology is great, it's just that after a couple of months, I figured out it was pretty useless, and was taking away precious real estate on my blog.
Playlist: live TSF Jazz Paris radio. Everything I love: Cole Porter, Dinah Washington, etc.
