Not as easy as picoblogger
Update: this comment added from the web interface. I sent this picture to a specific email address, using the email client on my mobile phone. The subject of the message becomes the title of the post, and the text of the message becomes the text of the post. The picture was added as an attachment to the message.
On the one hand, the initial setup for mobiel blogging with Flickr was cumbersome on the phone: I had to setup a mailbox, enter all parameters for POP and IMAP servers, inclluding user and password. I also entered a specific email address I generated on Flickr in my contact list, and gave it the nickname. It should be much easier to send an email to my blog, as all the configuration parameters are there: however, I don't expect many people to do this, so this kind of uptake is not going to be large. It doesn't give you a mechanism to choose on the fly which blog you want to use; however I suspect you can create alias for 4 different emails corresponding to 4 blogs... It doesn't allow either to control the categories you want to post to (added by hand here), nor does let you post to a photo album.
On the other hand, using picoblogger is very easy: you're up and running in a few minutes with very little config.
I'll give a try to Typepad's own moblogging config (by email as well) shortly.
PS: the picture represents my alarm clock...
