Following my previous post on being lemeurized for the 2nd time, I have been wondering about how stat tools keep track of real net traffic to your blog... By traffic I mean audience, not just page views, or unique visitors.
Indeed, some people might land on the page and browse the blog from there, others will just subscribe to the RSS feed, and read it with an RSS reader. In the latter case, your statistics (such as those supplied by sitemeter) are flawed, and don't take into account those other regular readers.
Bloglines allows you to track the number of subscribers to your RSS feed, but only those that subscribe thru Bloglines. What about all the others ?
Probably another business idea I should submit to Laurent Edel at Good Future, a new business ideas agency...
