Well isn't this perfect timing ? Tomorrow is the last day of the Tour de France, when Lance Armstrong is expected to win the race for the 6th time. And today was the last day of the sale season in Paris, when you can sometimes make great savings.
I dropped by computer store Surcouf, trying to find a Wi-Fi repeater for the 'dark' areas of my apartment. It seems there is no cheap solution for that :(
Hence I went to the next store, GoSport, and got myself a new bike. Actually I think I owned a bicycle last when I was about 12 years old... At a time when Pascal is debating about his new motorbike, or Regis about his next plane, I found it amusing to get a low-tech vehicle.
And indeed I got a good deal: instead of €489, I went out of the store with a €249 new Mangoose B-Pass for men (:o) + some little extras such as an air pump, a clutch, a helmet, a huge lock, etc. It's all aluminium and silverly shiny in the sun.
What's the point of blogging it ? None, but sometimes let's forget about hi-tech and go lo-tech. Expect me to start using my new bike a lot!
Update on 25/7/04: it seems everyone is improving its travel gear. Richard is for instance renovating his Vespa... Mihai, glowria's CEO just got himself a scooter...
