The French tribute to the European Union

It's a first. I'm surprised and impressed that President Sarkozy made it happen. He almost never talked about Europe during his campaign.

Europe is a top agenda for us, along with education, economic stability, sustainable development, social justice. A very historic moment I believe, in particular when a French president shakes the hands of each and all flag holders, and has invited the top executives of Europe such as President Barroso, and Javier Solana.
