Funnily enough, I keep pinging Om Malik every now and then on the weird pricing war in France between ADSL operators. Here you go with the latest from T-Online’s French operation called Club Internet. (pix taken on the metro the other day).
Introductory price of less than 10 euros for an ADSL2+ connection, ie 20Mbps connection (ATM), that is about a 16Mbps on IP. Of course it’s only for the first 3 months, then it goes to a whopping 19,90 euros/month including unlimited voice calls to fixed lines in France. And the modem doesn’t seem included, so it’s 24,90 euros/month. Hey that’s a good deal for up to 16Mbps right ?
Here CI compares their pricing to competitors (but excluding offers from Wanadoo, Free and AOL: they are not playing the price war). Next they’ll start competing on TV prices, then on VoD I suppose…
