I've been testing a mobile blogging solution earlier today: Picoblogger: check the 3 pictures posted below.
It just works great! Very easy to download the application, then send it by Bluetooth to my Nokia 6600 phone (I could have also downloaded it from their WAP site). Confirguration was easy (just select Typepad, enter your username & password), and that's it. Their trial lasts 5 days, and the full version of the program costs $9,95. A bargain.
I have also tried to test a mobile Instant Messenging solution: I downloaded the application from AgileMobile and transferred it to my phone by Bluetooth: Agile Messenger. Theoritically, it allows you to connect to AIM, Y!IM, MSN and ICQ. I could only make it work for Y!IM (and the interface is very nice), but got errors from the other 3 networks.
Have you succeeded in making it work on the other networks ?
Mobile IM should be a big hit in the months to come. I have made the maths: using it, even paying GPRS traffic, is soooooooo much cheaper than using SMS (even with their latest pricing)... What do you think ? Have you tried it yet ?
Update: I have managed to make it work on MSN as well. This is an awesome interface. I agree with the post below: it will definitively kill a lot of SMS traffic on my side ;)
